Chibi Vampire (also known as Karin in Japan), written and illustrated by Yuna Kagesaki, is a shonen, supernatural comedy. It tells the story of Karin Maaka, a young girl born into a family of vampires. Instead of feeding on other people's blood, however, she has to inject her own excess blood into them or suffer the embarrassing consequences.

We currently have Volumes 1-4 of this manga (14 total).

Chibi Vampire and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure both feature blood-sucking vampires that are vulnerable in the sunlight. While Bram Stoker's Dracula wasn't the first book to feature vampires, it was key to popularizing them throughout the world. Whether cute like Chibi Vampire's Karin or diabolical like DIO, both owe a debt to the Impaler himself.

Chibi Vampire and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure both borrow from thousands of years of vampiric lore, mythology, and culture. In this ebook, Nick Groom unearths that bloody history, from its origins in death and disease, to its immortal place in popular culture today. Truly, it is a story to die for.

Chibi Vampire's vampiric protagonist, Karin Maaka, suffers from a bloody problem about every month or so as she grows up. It isn't hard to relate this to young girls experiencing their periods (if greatly exaggerated). In this ebook, Lauren Rosewarne looks over the many depictions that periods have had over the years, questioning why the subject is often seen as taboo.
