A Parent's Guide to UACCM

This guide provides information to parents of students enrolling at UACCM. Information is designed to help parents support their students on their Journey with Meaning.

Requirements & Continuing Eligibility

Requirements:

  • Meet the criteria for the program of study to enroll in courses
  • Obtain (and maintain) a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.25 or higher
  • Enroll in up to fifteen (15) credit hours during any semester
  • Enroll in college level courses (concurrent students may not enroll in remedial courses)
  • Have a High School Permit to Register Form completed each academic year by the high school principal, counselor, or superintendent or, for home school students, the parent/guardian/teacher
  • Complete a Concurrent Enrollment Agreement

Continuing Eligibility:

To continue participating in the UACCM High School Concurrent Enrollment Program, the student must achieve at least a 2.00 semester grade point average at UACCM. Students that do not maintain the minimum semester grade point average will not be allowed to enroll at UACCM for a period of one semester.

Class Attendance:

In accordance with the UACCM attendance policy, as stated in the course syllabi, students are expected to attend class except when away on approved travel.  For concurrent students, any anticipated high school travel such as athletic events, band event, academic enrichment activity, etc. should be communicated at least two weeks in advance so proper notification to instructors can be made and make-up class assignments and/or tests can be arranged.
