SYLLABUS

Your student will have access to a college syllabus and course syllabus the first day of class.  The college syllabus has important information that relates to all courses.  The course syllabus provides a wealth of course specific information such as the following:

  • Instructor’s Contact Information
  • Office Hours
  • Course Learning Outcomes
  • Grading and Evaluation
  • Assignment Descriptions

If your student has a question about one of their courses, encourage them to review the college syllabus and course syllabus.  They will likely find the answer to many of their questions there.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

Class attendance is a critical element for student learning. Prompt and regular attendance is expected of all students at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton and is necessary in maintaining acceptable grades. All instructors will explain the administrative withdrawal policy at the beginning of each semester.  Additional details may be found on page 33 of the 2024-2025 UACCM Catalog.

ADVICE FROM INSTRUCTORS

Lyndsey Daniel, Instructor and Division Coordinator of General Education

"I think the best piece of advice I would give parents is to encourage students to talk to their instructors when they have questions or need help.  Students may be intimidated to talk to an instructor, but they must learn to be their own advocates."

Linda Zambrano, Business Instructor

"My words of advice... Being a full-time college student is equivalent to having a full-time job.  To be successful it requires the same amount of time, effort, and dedication as one would put into a full-time job."
