The eBook Central database is supplied by the Arkansas State Library, through its Traveler Database program, the goal of is to provide quality digital resources, " to all schools, libraries and residents in [Arkansas]."
This means that UACCM does not have pay for any of the resources in this collection.
There are, however, two specific groups of students who may experience difficulty (or inability) to access these resources: (1) students who live near the border of the state or use hotspots, (2) remote students who actually live out of state.
If your computer or device is accessing the Internet via a server with an IP address that is listed as being outside Arkansas, you'll be denied access. In this case, you have two options for getting access:
If you actually live outside Arkansas, you're classified as a "remote student." In that case, there is no way you can access Traveler resources unless you physically came to campus and use a UACCM network computer.
However, "surrounding regions, including Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee have access to similar programs provided by their home state." You should check with your local public library to see what digital resources might be available in your area.
