We are very excited that you have chosen to attend UACCM and are wholly committed to helping you succeed as you begin or continue your education. As a new UACCM student, you will encounter new ideas, new processes, and a whole new learning environment. Orientation is designed to help you overcome the challenges that can sometimes come with beginning at a new campus whether you attend in-person classes, online, or both!
Orientation will introduce you to our online learning environment, resources on campus, and our campus community.
Since the Orientation program provides information that is critical for your success, it is mandatory that you complete it prior to the beginning of the semester. If you fail to complete orientation on your assigned date, you will be enrolled in a one credit hour, five-week online course conducted during the semester.
Online Orientation is offered to students free of charge, but there is a fee for the five-week course. We highly recommend completing the free, online orientation prior to the start of the semester.
As you are navigating the online orientation, you may have questions. If you do, you may contact us by sending an email to NewStudentOrientation@uaccm.edu. The email must include your student ID number and full name.
YOUR MANDATORY ORIENTATION
Online Orientation will open on April 10 and must be completed by June 7 at Noon.
It may take 24-48 hours after you register for your account to become active.
Orientation opens on APRIL 10 and is due by NOON on JUNE 7.
You complete orientation by going through each of the modules and then passing the final exam with at least an 80% or above.
The Final Exam covers the content in the Orientation modules.
Each student is given three attempts to pass the final exam with at least an 80%. If you fail to pass the orientation on the third attempt, email NewStudentOrientation@uaccm.edu with your first and last name as well as your student ID Number.

What is the difference between Online Orientation and On-Campus Orientation?
Online Orientation is completed through our online course system, Blackboard. The content for On-Campus Orientation and Online Orientation is similar. The primary difference in the two types of Orientation is that students completing On-Campus Orientation have the chance to see the campus and meet their advisors and peers before class begins. There is no On-Campus Orientation option for the Summer or May Sessions.
What happens if I don’t attend orientation?
If you are registered for the Summer I, Summer II or May Intersession and you fail to complete Orientation, you will be dropped from your classes.
If you are registered for Fall or Spring Semesters and you fail to complete Orientation, you will be enrolled in ACAD 0001 College Orientation and will be required to pay for one credit hour of tuition and fees. You will not be allowed to drop this course unless you withdraw from the college.
Who is required to complete orientation?
All first-time entering freshman, transfer students, concurrent students, and re-admitted students – having not attended for five years or more or having left UACCM in academic suspension or probation – enrolling at UACCM are required to complete a New Student College Orientation prior to the beginning of the semester.
